Mr. Datar is a prominent Senior Advocate with more than 30 years of practice at the Madras High Court and the Supreme Court. He is an authority on tax, company and Constitutional matters, having authored several highly regarded legal commentaries. He has appeared before the Supreme Court in several landmark cases including the Vodafone – Income Tax case, National Tax Tribunal case, the SEBI- Sahara case and the NJAC (appointment of judges) case. He is also known for his books ‘Nani Palkhivala: The Courtroom Genius’, ‘Datar Commentary on Constitution of India’ and ‘Guide to Central Excise Law and Practice: With Accounting Practices’.
Justice Pal had started legal practice at the Calcutta High Court and subsequently joined the bench. She served on the Supreme Court between 1999-2006 and is widely considered to be among the best justices in the post-independence era. Justice Pal has recently revised M.P. Jain's commentary on the Indian Constitution and frequently contributes to journalistic and academic publications.
